The Sorting Stone

Image
My friend James and I had been going traveling on our gap year together.   We were about ten months in when we discovered an abandoned temple.   We didn’t know what its purpose was, we were far from experts.   We were just two nerdy guys walking through the place, which looked like it hadn’t seen humans for hundreds, maybe even thousands of years.   Once we made our way through the temple, we found a small stone.   I put the little stone in my bag and didn’t think much of it until we’d gotten back home a few months later and James started asking me about it.   “Hey man, do you still have that weird blue stone that we found in that temple?   I wanted to take a look at it again.”   I paused for a moment before realising what he was even talking about, I took him to where I kept my bag and took the stone out for the first time since I’d put it in there. “It’s so cool.   Mind if I keep it?” he asked. “Sure” I said, not feeling all ...

The Death of a Man

Image
My death came as a relief to me if I’m being completely honest.   My dementia had made living a constant cycle of confusion.   What I didn’t expect about death though, was that the moment I’d die was less like my soul just slowly climbing out of my body and more like an invisible bungee cord was pulling me away from my body.   One moment I’m lying in my bed, failing to remember my own name, the next I’m being pulled through the air seemingly at Mach 5 speeds, completely lucid for the first time in years.   At first, I felt myself being pulled upwards slightly, though I was traveling more horizontally than vertically.   After travelling for about a minute, I was only about half a kilometre above the ground, which considering the speed I was traveling at meant that I was hardly even going up.   Then, I started to go down at about the same pace I’d been going up.   My speed didn’t changed the whole time that this was happening.   I was con...

NSA Breach

The situation was bad.   I had been remotely going through the hard drive of a suspect terrorist like I’d been assigned to do, flicking through every video and image he had saved on his computer when I came across a rather weird looking video.   I’d set my player to loop any videos since sometimes a video is only a split second long and it’s hard to tell what’s on there with a single playthrough.   This was the time that this bit me in the backside.   The video itself was only about three seconds long, but it was some weird, abstract pattern.   The moment I laid eyes on it, something primal and instinctive told me that I didn’t want to keep watching and I looked away from my screen.   Sadly, it was already too late for me.   My whole body was tingling, my body was shifting.   Even my suit was morphing.   I tried to do what I could do fight it, but there was just no way to do it.   Fighting what was happening to me at this point was l...

Joining the Sisterhood

Image
A few months ago, I was a normal guy…well, fairly normal.   One thing that set me apart was that I’d always wished I were a woman.   For most of my life, the wish had just been there, in the back of my mind.   I’d have all kinds of fantasies about becoming a woman through some magical means but I’d never really speak out about it.   All that changed when I found out about a group called the sisterhood.   More specifically, some members found me and approached me.   They were beautiful, and more distractingly, completely naked.   They told me that they could sense my desire to become a woman.   I didn’t see the point of trying to lie to them and deny it, especially not when they said that they could give me what I desired.   I figured I had nothing to lose and they told me that they would want me to prove myself to them first.   Now, after all this time of running errands for them, they gave me a task which I found myself a little...
